Other than that I had some issues with python modules installing in the wrong place, and I had to patch ige-mac-integration in some places to get a bit nicer menu integration (especially accelerators). In the end I patched it to replace the compile time prefix with a prefix set as an environment variable.

Unfortunately, gconf has hardcoded install paths, and since we want to put everything in a single bundle, this was causing some problems. We decided that it would be simpler for now not to involve dbus, so we went with gconf 2.22. I was pretty impressed by how well OS X is supported by gtk+ and friends already, but I did hit some snags on the way. That also means that the full thing is about 100 MB :( We include everything that we need in there, so it should be entirely standalone. Not any more though! I finally sat down to make it into an actual OS X App Bundle (using the excellent ige-mac-bundler). That is, I was the only one who could use it. Although we did the initial port some time ago, it was more a proof-of-concept than actually something usable. Today I ‘finished’ my earlier porting of gedit to OS X. My first ever blog post on gnome blogs, and about time.

Gedit, Hightlight, Linux, Gnome, syntax, colors, light, simple, vJass. Note: All the process must be done with Gedit closed.Īfter this simple steps, Gedit will now syntax Highlight vJass from ".j" files =P local is a hidden folder, you have to enable the view of hidden foldersĤ - Go to "~/.local/share" and run: "update-mime-database mime" (if you can't run the command it is ok as well, but I advice to do so)ġ - This is the necessary step for you to have highlights working.Ģ - copy this file to the following path: "/usr/share/gtksourceview-2.0/language-specs" It is not necessary to make the highlights work, but it is nice because this way you don't need to go to "View -> Highlight -> Others -> vJass".Ģ - Go to "~/.local/share/mime/packages" (create it if it doesn't exist yet)Ģ.1 - Remember.

By making it you will be able to automatically have the vJass highlights mode when you open a ".j" file. There are two files: vJass.lang and vJass.xml and they go to separate folders.ġ - This is an optional step.

Completed the game variable type highlight Added Credits to the comments of the header of the file Improved the documentation in many points It gave me lots of work and hell to make this thing work, please I hope Linux people enjoy it xD lang files, I can't add anything else or it won't run because it will be to big (damn stupid compilers xD ). This plugin is the most possible user friend there can be with the limitations of Gedit. This plugin allows the user to have highlights to all non-BJ functions and to automatically view ".j" files. So, the next logical solution would be to make something light that could aid me making my codes, which is why I decided to create this plugin for Gedit, a plugin that allows people to have syntax highlight checker in Gnome for vJass. However, I don't have it installed on Linux due a few problems and so JNGP can not help me. when suddenly I wanted to code warcraft (lol). Hi guys, a few days ago I was working on Linux.
